scoring systems
Three different scoring systems are used in sirius games. Descriptions
of the systems are available in the right column.
After each game, points will be allocated according to each scoring
system. The three scoring systems provide three different standings.
It is easiest to explain with an actual example:
In scoring system 1, players A, B and C have 34, 26 and 12.5 points
respectively. In system 2, they have 500, 350 and 400 points. In
the third system, they have 9, 7 and 10 points.
For the total standings, players are awarded 100 pts for every 1st
rank, 99 pts for every second rank and so on. In this example, A
then has 100+100+99 points, B has 99+98+98 and C has 98+99+100.
The total standings then are:1. A, 299 pts
2. C, 297 pts
3. B, 295 pts
That's the idea. It will be clear enough as soon as the results
start appearing.
